Mandatory Study material for First Principles (7 documents)

 

THE AGF CONVENTION USES THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE TO ACCEPT NEW MINISTERS.

1. The candidate must do the training on the First Principles (7 documents on FIRST PRINCIPLES available for download here in English or Afrikaans).

a. Once you have studied the material, you may contact Ps. Steve Maritz (083 462 1516). He will send you the exam, where the local church pastor will be the invigilator.

b. The exam will be marked and sent to the local church pastor, a copy to the candidate, as well as to the Secretary General for the processing of the credential application.
2. It is the responsibility of the Local Church to apply for credentials and to ordain the new candidate.

a. The candidate must read and accept the Code of Conduct, Disciplinary Procedure and Statement of Faith.
b. Local church elders must sign on behalf of the candidate supporting application and/or ordination.
c. The church will send Application, Photo, Pastor’s Training Exam and Fee of R200 to Regional General Secretary. N.B.: R200 fee is for renewal of credential only due in October.
3. Every 3 months in the Provincial Fellowship, Trustees will have interviews with candidates from different churches.

a. Three Trustees will sign Application confirming the candidate.
b. Trustees are invited to be present at the ordination to represent the AGF. At least one Trustee should be present at this ordination.
c. We strongly recommend that the Spiritual Father be present at the ordination of his Son Figure.
4. The Secretary General will receive the package from the Regional General Secretary and will produce Credential and Ordination Certificate.

a. The President or Vice-President will sign the Application along with the Secretary General.

b. Credential and/or Ordination Certificate will be posted to the local church pastor where the Ordination will take place via Regional Trustees.
c. The Ordination Certificate will be signed by the Secretary General and the Local Church Pastor.
